You're Unconscious Mind versus Your Conscious Mind
The unconscious mind can take in information at a rate of 2.3 million bits of information per second or more. So have some fun and multiply 2.3 million times how many seconds you've been alive...that kind of makes the internet look small… doesn't it. Now all this info is stored in the unconscious, but it does not mean we can recall even a small percentage of it. Yet it makes up who we are and how we think. The Conscious mind can actively pay attention to 7 (+/- 2) Bits of information at any given moment. So this is only between 5 and 9 bits per second as opposed to 2.3+ million bits times how many seconds you’ve been alive. Any time the “Conscious Will” comes in conflict with the “unconscious Imagination” … Imagination always wins… ALWAYS!
Making an Unconscious Decision
The unconscious mind has many perceived benefits that it had associated to the habit of Smoking. (See Below) The key to removing these desires is to make the decision at the unconscious level. This is where the Hypnosis comes into play. Hypnosis is one of the oldest and best known ways to re-pattern unconscious behaviors. And first you must realize that the prime directive of the unconscious mind is to protect you. But, what is it protecting you from? It is protecting you from physical harm and/or mental or emotional PAIN.
